Blessed Ride: A 44 or 25 mile loopFrom the Bicycles Unlimited parking lot, take a left and ride to the traffic light at Silver Street and take a left. Ride down Silver Street all the way to the end of the road. Take a right onto Leyden Road and head north. Be careful on the bridge over RT 91 as the roadway is rough and there are many potholes. Ride north on Leyden Road and take a left at the fork in the road. Continue on Leyden Road as it climbs the two mile hill into the town of Leyden. After getting to the top of the hill (this is a not a given for me personally) continue north on Greenfield Road. As you near the Pearl Rhodes School you will bear right at the fork and continue north. Stay on this road which will become Weatherhead Hollow Road. Follow Weatherhead Hollow Road all the way to to the stop sign at Guilford Center Road and then take a right. When you get to the stop sign at RT. 5 you will have to take another right and then stay on RT. 5 all the way south into Bernardston. From the center of Bernardston, take route 5&10 south to Barton Road where you will have to make a right turn (just after the Kringle Candle Co’s Farm Table Restaurant). Take Barton Road to Country Club Road which is your second left. Follow Country Club Road back to Silver Street where you will take a left and ride back to the shop. This should be about a 44 Mile ride. For those of you looking for a shorter loop, you should take a right onto Keets Brook Road (which is your first right turn after getting to Vermont). This is a dirt road for about a mile or so and then pavement (sort of) all the way down to RT.5.This shortcut will result in a 25 mile ride.
